for auction is this fabulous AUTHENTIC VINTAGE GUCCI BRIEFCASE / PORTFOLIO BAG
in the signature GUCCI "GG" CANVAS MATERIAL in TAN & BROWN with beautiful grainy
DEEP BROWN LEATHER on the hard handle, top, bottom, accordion sides and framing the front flap and body of the bag. Leather has light golden brown stitching.

This is a fantastic bag! GUCCI BABY! There is a hard brown leather swinging handle attached to chunky rectangular gold tone hardware. The top flap has a gold tone plate clasp engraved "GUCCI" on the top with a button that you slide down to open. The bag can also be locked. You can find the little brass key hidden in the most adorable little 2 inch matching brown leather pouch with the same light golden brown stitching, that is attached with a strap to the handle. Of course you can slip the little pouch/key into a pocket inside the bag or where ever you wish. Keep it in a safe place! The sides are accordion style, so it opens pretty wide!
So you slide the little gold tone button down, pop open the flap and you are in! The inside flap is the grainy deep brown leather and there are four main compartments inside the bag! The first compartment lined in a gorgeous golden tan suede and has deep brown leather trim marked in gold font on the leather -- "MADE IN ITALY BY GUCCI"! OK I'm sold! The second compartment is a little higher and larger also lined in the buttery suede, the third compartment has a zipper closure with gold tone zipper hardware and is lined in a brown textured shiny material, almost looks like silk, and the fourth compartment is lined in the golden suede and has a large side slip zippered pocket! Compartments are approximately 11 inches deep.

In the mid-60s, Gucci adopted the legendary interlocking double G logo, creating yet another chic Gucci visual insignia.
Bag measures 16 1/2 inches wide X 12 inches high and is in excellent vintage condition. Really amazing considering it's age. The plate clasp lock has tarnish and scratches from use and the little key is tarnished. Also inside the bag there is a pen mark, but really the body of the bag and the inside is so clean, I cannot believe it is vintage.
